You'll probably love it here. Your Role As Head of Sales at GetSolar Malaysia, you will lead and scale our residential solar sales business. Your core responsibility is to drive team performance, manage the sales pipeline, and help us achieve aggressive growth targets through both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement. You'll directly manage, coach, and grow the Sales team, equipping them with the training, tools, and support needed to succeed. While your focus will be on team leadership and pipeline management, you will also play an active role in the sales process when needed-from customer advisory calls to site visits and deal closing. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the Country Manager, with cross-functional collaboration across marketing, customer success, and product. You'll also contribute to initiatives that improve conversion rates, shorten sales cycles, and accelerate rooftop solar adoption in Malaysia. Pipeline Ownership - Manage the full sales pipeline and KPIs across Malaysia, from lead qualification to close-won deals Team Leadership - Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to consistently exceed monthly and quarterly targets Hiring & Onboarding - Recruit and train new sales hires, ensuring they are ramped up on GetSolar's sales process, product, and CRM tools Sales Enablement - Work with product, marketing and customer success to develop tools, pitch materials, and workflows that improve efficiency and win rates Growth Initiatives - Launch and lead outbound campaigns, referral programs, and local partnerships to boost lead generation and brand reach Customer Engagement - As needed, support on customer advisory calls, site visits, and document collection to help close key deals Cross-functional Collaboration - Align closely with regional teams to ensure strategy, messaging, and operations are consistent and scalable Your Credentials 4 - 6 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles, with at least 2+ years leading high-performing sales teams in a target-driven environment Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, ideally with experience owning a sales pipeline or contributing to a P&L Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup or tech-enabled business, preferably in consumer services, financial services, real estate, or renewable energy a plus Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability - able to train, motivate, and scale a team while maintaining high morale and accountability Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a hands-on approach and strong bias for action Customer-centric communicator who enjoys engaging with homeowners and solving real-world problems Strong pipeline management and sales operations skills, including familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting Comfortable with non-standard hours or travel, including customer site visits, when required to meet goals Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu Quick learner with the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven startup What's In It For You Competitive base salary with the potential to earn commissions Take ownership of your work, drive your own results, and advance your career Work with a talented, impact-driven team that's dedicated to making a difference Be part of a company at the forefront of the rooftop solar industry in Southeast Asia and the first to offer Rent-to-Own solar solutions Contract Type and Location This is a full-time role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
