- Developing commercial and technical proposal relative to revamp and upgrade on OEM and Non OEM compressor product and associated ancillary package equipment.
- Supporting technical offer in front of customer from initial concept until the Purchase Order and beyond.
- Building technical and commercial proposal in accordance with customer request and Order Capture Team strategy.
- Performance computation and technical solution on compressors.
- Technical feasibility and risk evaluation: define and validate hard point with the product engineering support.
- Prepare and issue Request for Quotations to the relevant major sub-suppliers in support of Siemens Energy bundled “extended scope” solutions.
- Collaborating closely with other functions within the organization to gather / capture required information to prepare quotation for extended scope projects (e.g. site execution, repair centre activity, installation, commissioning & performance testing).
- Defining the commercial according to organization's policies and rules (Price, payment term, T&C's etc)
- Supporting the CFT (Client Facing Team) in their development of the Value Proposition based on the data provided by the sales team and the market knowledge.
- Supporting and attending meeting with customer.
- Defining the order entry package document according to internal standard (Scope of supply and Cost Price makeup)
- Reporting and updating the management on project status, development and difficulties.
- Maintaining internal database and process (Client Service database, MBR, etc).
- Technical support to the client facing team and internal Siemens Energy resources for aftermarket activities.
- A sound Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Oil & Gas)
- Minimum 4-5 years' experience as Proposal /Estimation Engineer or related work experience.
- Sound knowledge in Compressor Product (knowledge of Legacy Siemens Compressor will be an added advantage).
- Comprehensive understanding of thermodynamics, aero and mechanical turbo-machinery equipment
- Knowledge and experience turbo machinery equipment (Centrifugal/reciprocating compressors, gas turbine, steam turbine) aero/ thermo performance as well as in control systems is a plus
- Good understanding of machine design, thermodynamic principles and compressor performance application theory
- Good presentation, relationship, and team membership skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills, requires time management and record keeping detail.
- Digital literacy and ability to work with Microsoft Office suite of business programs and regular user of all system tools available to the Sales & Technical Support functions (e.g. CRM,SFDC etc)
- Flexible working time required
- Travel will occur frequently and will include customer visits, presentations, and general sales calls in Asia Region
