
Product Safety (Specialist)

- Execute Product Safety services, competent in the specific Chemical Regulations, and/or Product Stewardship skillset.
- Participate and take charge for the related discussion on the designated services with various stakeholders such as supply chain, customer services and technical experts for execution and necessary improvement actions of related compliance measures
- Continuous improvement for designated work processes and communication processes, including change management.
- Ensure right for the first time for services deliverable including evaluation and execution of corrective action
- Execute related Product Safety services deliverables, including chemical regulation operational compliance measures through close collaboration among team and cross sub-team.
- Monitor and assess related regulatory reporting and compliance tasks against business processes predefined criteria
- Evaluate, analyze and verify product regulatory data and compliance documentation for system and database compliance monitoring and maintenance
- Verify compliance documentation required for related business process including import, export and domestic trade
- Perform necessarily follow up action to ensure deliverables executed on timely basis
- Active contribute to operation excellence, and Right First Time for optimal deliverable of expert services, including non-conformance management.
- Effective communication with stakeholders as required in daily task and timely escalation to leader on critical topics where relevant
- Execute discussion independently intrateam and collaborate for achievement
- Continuous improvement by embracing, e.g. digitalization, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects by contributing to efficiency study, analysis and implementation phase
- Develop self via continuous learning from team, including issues troubleshooting related to the service delivery
- Supports internal and external audit, including Quality Checks for potential improvements and preventive measures.
- Review, update and improve related work documentation such as process description, work guides, etc. to ensure sustainable knowledge retention and standardization within department.
- University degree, Master/ PhD degree in scientific area, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in Chemical Regulation, Product Regulatory affairs or related fields in Product Safety and Stewardship activities
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a result-oriented mindset.
- Sound knowledge in Chemistry and regulations
- Good understanding on global and local chemical legislation system, master data system, supply chain processes and business processes of BASF
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proactive and be able to work under pressure and independently
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP
