- Able to assembly (combining or putting together the parts, components or material) the product within specified requirements and as defined in standard operating procedures.
- Able to use various tools and equipment and ensure the quality and accuracy of the assembled items, as well as maintaining a safe and organized work area.
- Perform mechanical assembly of Feeder Length (FL), Distribution Length (DL), Elbows, Expansions, Compression (CMP), End Terminals (ET), and Feeder Terminals (FT).
- Align, position, and assemble using bolts, washers, insulators, spacers, Joint blocks, and other prescribed hardware.
- Interpret and follow mechanical drawings, Work instructions, and SOPs.
- Apply correct torque values, stack orientation, and assembly sequences as defined.
- Inspect and confirm all components for part number, quantity, dimension, and physical condition before use.
- Immediately report any missing, wrong, or damaged parts to the Supervisor or TL.
- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and power tools correctly and safely.
- Ensure joints are assembled cleanly, tightened to spec, and free of mechanical defects.
- Accurately align and assemble Single, Double, and Triple Stack busbars as per approved Drawings and SOP.
- Use defined insulators, spacers, and stack hardware to maintain phase separation and structural integrity.
- Ensure correct torque is applied and all joints are secure and aligned without forcing components.
- Fit and align End Support Plates (ESPs) based strictly on Drawings and SOPs using reference holes or jigs.
- Maintain parallelism, avoid twisting, and ensure no stress is transferred to busbars during or after tightening.
- Conduct post-assembly alignment checks.
- Conduct visual and dimensional checks using tools such as measuring tapes, Jigs, squares, and calipers.
- Ensure proper staging and handling of busbars using trolleys, cranes, or other safe methods.
- Follow company quality standards and safety protocols.
- Wear proper PPE (gloves, shoes, eye protection) and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Participate in audits, 5S activities, and safety briefings as required.
- Provide timely and high-quality hand-offs to other functional teams.
- Surface and eliminate all non-value adding work, seek to create value wherever possible.
- 100% compliance with all documented operating procedures relevant to area of responsibility.
- Fully support all improvements and initiatives, which seek to drive company's productivity gains, such that site competitiveness is maintained/enhanced (ref. Fixed cost, Product Quality, Production/throughput, Health & Safety, Environment etc.)
- Abide by the H&S policy of the company by following guidelines & instructions.
- Actively support implementation of any new Work Processes and demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for all aspects of production performance (e.g., troubleshooting of equipment and process problems, participation in investigations etc.)
- Reduce the quantity of general waste and segregate the waste as per instruction.
- Drive continuous improvement and waste elimination - Identify productivity improvements that can be realized within existing systems and technologies.
- Manage assigned tasks independently, interacting as/when appropriate with other individuals, teams, contractors etc. always maintaining a business focus and accepting personal accountability for personal actions and performance.

- Familiar with the use of emergency equipment such as Fire Alarm Call Point and Fire Extinguishers.
- Ensuring you are well trained in handling or operating machineries before starting your career in the organization.
- Full knowledge in Safe Work Instruction.
- Cooperate during drills for actual emergency preparedness.
- Full knowledge in Emergency Assembly Procedure.
- If you drive or operate machinery, you have a responsibility to tell your employer if you take medication that makes you drowsy.
- Knowledge in H&S Policy and Objectives
- Ensuring 1st off / in-process inspection is performed and real time updating of Andon Completion.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, ideally in busbar/switchgear or panelboard industries
- Awareness of stacking arrangements and safety clearances
- Sound understanding of busbar system components (FL, DL, Elbows, Expansions, CMP, ET, FT)
- Proficiency in using mechanical drawings and SOPs
- Skilled in handling torque tools, hand/power tools, and measuring instruments
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
