Job Summary Field Service Engineer to provide installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for industrial pump systems (centrifugal and reciprocating). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on field experience, strong technical pump expertise, fluency in English (written and verbal), and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair various industrial pumps (water, chemical, oil & gas, etc.). Lead pump commissioning activities, including startup, operational checks, and client handover. Supporting in the resolution of warranty issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide solutions for pump failures or inefficiencies. Main point of contact for customer technical support. Deliver maintenance and operations training to customers. Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and commissioning documentation using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company protocols. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution. Upselling of parts and services to customers when involved in site activities, where suitable. Travel to customer sites across (insert region) and also support the wider Ruhrpumpen group globally when required. Carry out preservation activities in line with OEM requirements. Preparing method statements, risk assessments, tooling, and equipment lists required for project execution. Qualifications & Skills Apprenticeship, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5+ years of field service experience in pump installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Strong understanding of mechanical seals & systems, bearings, motors, and couplings. Hands-on experience with pump commissioning (startup, performance testing, system optimisation). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for technical documentation. Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical manuals, and engineering schematics. Fluent in English (written & spoken) preferred and an additional local language ( i.e., Bahasa Malaysia / Indonesia / Mandarin). Valid international driver's license Ideally, the candidate would have BOSIET, H2S, and CA-EBS training certification to enable them to mobilise to offshore platforms.
