Job Description As a member of the software developer group providing strategic solutions and consulting on Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) solutions to support the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) of the semiconductor plant in Penang, your daily tasks will include: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications Provide expert advice and strategic consulting on CIM solutions to optimize manufacturing processes Conduct regular assessments and audits of current systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategic solutions Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of CIM solutions, including design specifications, user manuals, and best practices Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders to share knowledge and ensure effective use of CIM solutions Analyze manufacturing workflows and processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies Design and implement CIM solutions that enhance the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing operations Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions to ensure they meet the desired objectives Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation in manufacturing processes Propose and implement improvements to existing CIM solutions to enhance their functionality and performance Work closely with other developers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of CIM solutions with MES and other systems Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing CIM solutions, addressing any issues or bugs that arise Respond promptly to user inquiries and provide technical assistance as needed Qualifications At least 5 years of professional experience in IT within semiconductor manufacturing or similar industries Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Technology or equivalent Advanced knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and the semiconductor business Technical expertise in modern semiconductor MES systems Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing tools such as R2R (Run-to-Run control), SPC (Statistical Process Control), FDC (Fault Detection and Classification), RMS (Recipe Management System), RTD (Real-Time Dispatching), DWH (Data Warehouse) Integrate MES modules with other CIM systems (e.g. ERP, equipment interfaces, automation systems) Experience with developing interfaces using SECS/GEM (SEMI Equipment Communications Standard / Generic Equipment Model) Experience with data analysis and visualization tools Excellent programming skills in a high-level language (Java, C++, C#) Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly Oracle DB Software Configuration Management, Build systems, and version control (e.g., Git, Subversion, Maven, Sonatype Nexus, SonarQube) Experience with project management tools and processes (e.g., Confluence, Jira) Strong interest in modern technologies, agile mindset and ability to work under pressure Good communication skills (Verbal and Written) especially in meetings and reviews with all levels and departments Able to work in an intercultural team Reliability and flexibility to work in a pioneer team Conception of the change management process / system (workflow, change recognizability) Structured and independent way of working, analytical skills Willingness to take over responsibility Fluent in English (written and spoken), German skills are a plus Additional Information Benefits Benefits: Company Insurances, Transport Allowance, Flexi Work hours, Car Loan Subsidy, Meal Subsidy, EPF, etc. Leave Entitlement e.g. Annual Leave, Medical Leave, etc.
