
Project Engineer (High Voltage - Solar Farm)

- Assist in the execution and monitoring of high-voltage (HV) infrastructure works including substations, switchyards, transmission lines, and SCADA integration.
- Support the preparation and review of technical documentation including method statements, inspection checklists, testing plans, and outage requests.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on HV equipment delivery, installation, and quality checks.
- Ensure construction works comply with TNB standards and engineering approvals, including reference to the Interconnection Code, Protection Guidelines, and IEC standards (especially IEC 61850).
- Participate in site inspections and testing with TNB, contractors, and internal teams.
- Support the integration of protection systems and SCADA/RTU equipment with TNB’s grid control systems.
- Maintain project documentation and reports for TNB submission, including pre-energization documents.
- Liaise with the Project Manager on daily work status and escalate technical issues requiring resolution.
- Education level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Field of study: Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related fields
- Working Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage infrastructure projects, preferably in utility-scale solar farms or TNB-related works.
- Mandatory: Candidate must have hands-on involvement in projects requiring TNB submission, site supervision, energization procedures.
- Language: Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin/Cantonese is an advantage.
- Willing to travel and work at project sites across Malaysia.
