Technician III - Failure Analysis

- Identifies trends in failures and provides quantitative analysis of such trends.
- Identifies and documents the most probable Root Cause(s) of failures.
- Drives Corrective Action for simple failures.
- Prepares complete, concise Failure Analysis reports for internal and external customer communications.
- Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat
- Failure Analysis Technicians regularly work in development and test labs, and manufacturing facilities.
- Travel to international locations may be required.
- Proficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processes.
- SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft Office applications, and general database management.
- Requires effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey factual learnings
- Minimum five (5) years experience working in a semiconductor company.
- Experience as FA technician, Assembly Backend Technician and Test Technician.
- Specific product knowledge which enables effective failure analysis
- Demonstrated Failure Analysis of complex, electo-mechanical assemblies
- Technical school or Diploma in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent education.
- Associates degree in a relavent engineering discipline.
- Certified 6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology.
