
STUDENT FEES AND VISA COMPLIANCE OFFICER

- Manage and co-ordinate all financial administration processes within the student fees lifecycle stages in line with statute, policy, and procedures.
- Support compliance practices with relevant legislation, including HESA and ESOS, University statute/policy or procedures and exhibiting good practice.
- Provide accurate and prompt advice to student enquiries regarding student fees, visa, payments, refunds, payment plans, confirmation of enrolment (CoE) renewals and other area specific enquiries via email, CRM and telephone.
- Adhere and maintain a culture of exceptional customer service by ensuring and upholding a positive student experience.
- Provide advice in relation to relevant Government loan schemes such as HECS/FEE/SA-HELP including advice regarding Unique Student Identifier (USI).
- Reporting of CoE status.
- Undertake assessment of refunds and remissions of fees due to special circumstances in accordance with legislative guidelines and internal refund agreements.
- Perform reconciliation of student tuition fee accounts and apply appropriate credit management processes such as unclaimed monies or debt management processes such as preparation for write-off debts.
- Manage, monitor, and follow up on accounts with overdue debts in accordance with university policy and internal processes.
- Assess and issue students with a CoE in response to changes in student's enrolments in line with international student visa framework requirements and in accordance with legislation (ESOS and National Code).
- Co-ordinate and provide a broad range of administrative functions and data support under the directive of the team leader.
- Assist with the preparation of various publications relating to our area of expertise such as but not limited to fee brochures, websites, and frequently asked questions.
- A degree qualification and significant experience in a related area.
- Demonstrated ability to delivery outstanding customer service with an ongoing commitment to process improvement and optimisation
- Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and information retrieval, along with excellent computer skills, utilising a variety of software programs
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadline
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people in a clear and professional manner, with cross cultural sensitivity
- Demonstrated experience in providing ongoing monitoring or compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions to a range of operational challenges
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with general direction.
