Manufacturing TechnicianDescription -What a Manufacturing Technician Does at HP,

Gathers and assesses data concerning both the manufacturing process and associated equipment, and interprets blueprints and schematics relevant to the manufacturing process.
Operates machinery when necessary to accomplish direct assembly tasks, while also providing support for factory equipment and its corresponding processes.
Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.
Manages documentation pertaining to manufacturing and related processes and ensures updates are integrated into the manufacturing systems.
Provides hands-on assistance to resolve technical quality issues related to customer complaints, manufacturing, engineering, test methods, and equipment.
Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.
Acquires job skills, becomes familiar with company policies, and completes routine to moderately complex assignments/tasks, while making suggestions for continuous improvement.
Adheres to established company, legal and regulatory standards and guidelines, and ensures confidentiality in all dealings with company data.
Assists in implementing new processes, supports department-level operational plans, and shares technical information with colleagues and clients.
Solves defined problems using established procedures and delivers basic technical, administrative, or operative tasks under direct instruction and close supervision.

Individuals who will do well in this role usually possess:

High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in manufacturing systems and equipment maintenance, machine operation, or a related field.
