The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch's Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics' fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.Job DescriptionAs a Software Developer in the Digital Manufacturing department, you will develop and deliver, together with an internationally distributed team, software applications and solutions within the Mobility Electronics (ME) sector.   • Develop software for various plants, an enabler for innovation in the semiconductor industry. We work on techniques which increase the quality of fabrication
  • Design, develop, test, document, deploy and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software while ensuring performance and quality standards
  • Analyze, debug and solve defects of existing functionalities
  • Participate actively in code reviews
  • Work in an agile environment within internationally distributed teams
  • Guide and mentor less experienced team members as well as contribute to technical on-boarding of new joiners
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT within semiconductor manufacturing or similar industries
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Technical background within the semiconductor business
  • Excellent programming skills in a high-level language (Java, C++, C#, Go, Python)
  • Strong understanding of microservice architecture principles, including API design best practices (e.g., RESTful APIs, gRPC)
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly Oracle DB. Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • DevOps Skills: Experience with infrastructure automation, system configuration management (e.g., Jenkins), and container orchestration (e.g., Docker ecosystem, Kubernetes)
  • Software Configuration Management, Build systems, and version control (e.g., Git, Subversion, Maven, Sonatype Nexus, SonarQube)
  • Experience with specific testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Selenium)
  • Experience with project management tools and processes (e.g., Confluence, Jira)
  • Strong interest in modern technologies, agile mindset and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills (Verbal and Written) especially in meetings and reviews with all levels and departments
  • Able to work in an intercultural team
  • Reliability and flexibility to work in a pioneer team
  • Structured and independent way of working, analytical skills
  • Willingness to take over responsibility
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), German skills are a plus
