- Demonstrate strong leadership in terms of problem solving, navigating ambiguity, and driving a team towards success in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Provide sound judgement, even in times of pressure, by using data-driven insights and analytical skills.
- Lead the decision-making process related to technology functions in support of business requirements, as well as in closing any gaps.
- Define how code should be written, inject discipline in areas such as QA, coding ethics, and prioritise reusability - ensuring that work produced by the Technology team not only meets the brief, but also considers the ecosystem of our business functions.
- Develop a solid foundation (strengthen the team of the 0 to 1 core technology assets) while building our next growth initiatives (to scale from 1 to 100) as the company progresses.
- Partner with the Co-founders and other C-suite/HoDs to define the tech vision and roadmap in addressing our customers’ needs, as well as in optimising ROI.
- Foster extreme ownership, inclusiveness, pragmatism, and urgency in the team.
- Identify and evaluate the latest technologies, assessing their potential for strategic advantage and business impact.
- Roll up your sleeves when needed to jump in and lead people directly, through challenges.
- 3+ years of experience in senior management.
- Must have experience leading a technology department.
- Strong in both business and technical knowledge, with a good understanding of overall Technology Operations and Management.
- Preferred skills in c#, Angular, Java and Typescript programming languages.
- The ability to articulate and lead tech-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies and infrastructure management.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies, which are grounded in data.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
