Brief insight of the role: As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in protecting our client's infrastructure and data from potential security threats. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain secure systems and network architectures. Your expertise in various suites of security products and services will be instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing effective countermeasures, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's critical resources. You will be reporting to the Head of Technology Development for engagement of any cybersecurity implementation project and managed services. What would the role be Work together with Layer 2 deployment and research team members in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity solutions for clients. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of cybersecurity solutions into clients' environments. Act as a mentor to the junior-level team members for cyber security related enquiries and best practices. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents, leveraging our cyber security products such as Cloudflare and Elastic. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities within the infrastructure. Involves in cloud-based infrastructure deployment which includes tasks such as provisioning/de-provisioning of resources, maintaining security posture, user administration, monitoring computing resource utilization, network setup, backup/restore and incident management. Assist with integration of multiple products and solutions into one solution to meet client's requirements, such as integrating Cloudflare, Elastic and AWS together. Use variuous scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell or Python to achieve the objectives of security-related tasks. Utilizing support ticketing system as Level 2 support engineers to provide support, troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures, where required. Involve in some pre-sales activities such as conducting technical presentation and demonstration about our cyber security products to our clients. Prepare technical documentations and reports according to project requirements. Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends, products, and technologies to drive innovation and improve the team's capabilities Evaluate and recommend additional security tools, technologies, and processes that align with the organization's evolving security needs. What are the pre-requisition Fresh Graduates with Computer Science, Network Security or related background are encouraged to apply. Knowledge in these cyber security solutions: CrowdStrike, and Elastic are an added advantage. Knowledge in public cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure are an added advantage. Strong understanding of cloud security principles, architectures, and best practices. Proficiency in configuring and managing cyber security solutions such as firewall policies, endpoint protection policies, user access policies, etc. Experience with security incident response, vulnerability management, and security assessments using various security tools and features. In-depth knowledge of web application security, zero trust security, DDoS mitigation techniques, and SSL/TLS protocols. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
