Located at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city Centre, Traders Hotel by Shangri-La is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and multi-skilled talent in delivering our Asian hospitality. As Director of Sales & Marketing we rely on you: Lead the sales and marketing team in development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies with an objective to maximise the hotel revenue. Responsible for effective implementation and compliance of all corporate standards. Take responsibility for overall branding, revenue, and sales channels optimisation of the hotel. Participate in business reviews and annual budget process. Analyse and study market trends and set targets accordingly and constantly monitor and evaluate local and international market trends, and the competitor hotels' sales initiatives. Examine monthly reports and sales forecast reports to analyse current and potential marketing trends. Manage all sales strategy, tactics, and action implementations in order to create a strong and disciplined sales and marketing team to achieve their sales goals. Train and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve hotel revenue targets and ensure everyone access to the necessary information, market data, various tools and equipment to fulfil their job responsibilities. Establish and maintain contact with the key account guest to increase business volume, including room sales and event sales. Work closely with other Executive Committee members in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Tourism/ Hospitality/ Hotel Management/ Business Administration. Passionate in Sales and Marketing. At least 3 years similar working experience in similar role in international hotel brand. Excellent administration skills, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English, in both oral and written. Strong team spirit and communication skills. Able to engage in a friendly and professional manner with business partners and guests. Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
