- Conduct research and analysis on follow on investment opportunities within our portfolio, including market research, financial analysis, and due diligence
- Prepare investment memorandums and presentations, with guidance, on follow on investment opportunities for deliberation at our Investment Committee meetings
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance on a continuous basis and provide updates to investments team
- Strategise, facilitate and acquire downstream capital for portfolio companies
- Perform ad hoc financial and strategic analysis to drive decision making for the team and for our portfolio companies
- Collaborate closely with founders of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to help them achieve the growth and business objectives we set out with them to maximise the value of their companies, and the returns on our portfolio as a whole
- Identify and execute on strategic partnerships for portfolio companies with governmental agencies, corporates and other relevant ecosystem players, where relevant
- Provide general in-house consulting and fundraising services for portfolio companies
- Execute on M&A and other exit initiatives to realise the value of our investments in the portfolio companies
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of proven relevant experience (in corporate finance advisory, VC, private equity firm, investment bank, or a strongly related role) with a demonstrated track record of contributions to successful investments and/or strategic project execution
- Superior project management capabilities
- Proven ability in organizing workflows, taking robust notes, working independently within tight deadlines, and collaborating across teams with limited supervision
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, where production and presentation of data and initiatives are concise and compelling for capital providers and partners
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, with experience using Excel, and other financial analysis tools
- Familiarity with valuation techniques and financial modeling is strongly encouraged
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in managing relationships with other investors and stakeholders in our portfolio companies
- Intellectually curious with strong critical thinking skills and business sense
- Comfortable managing multiple projects across a wide variety of functional business problems
- Creativity and comfortable with 'blank sheet of paper' assignments. Comfortable with ambiguity and identifying what may be needed to define clarity
- Experience working at a high growth organization, fast-paced and lean-driven unstructured environments, where goals, priorities and roadmaps may evolve quickly
- Work well under pressure, with a high degree of dependability, adaptability and flexibility
