- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and taxation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a finance team.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in both pre-opening and operational environments.
- Establish finance and accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the setup of accounting systems, reporting formats, and internal controls.
- Develop pre-opening budgets, forecasts, and financial models in collaboration with senior management.
- Liaise with procurement and contractors to manage pre-opening expenditures and monitor cash flow.
- Recruit, train, and supervise the Finance team to ensure readiness before opening.
- Coordinate with external auditors, bankers, and government agencies for compliance during the pre-opening stage.
- Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders on project costs and funding utilization.
- Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and revenue reconciliation.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Monitor financial performance and provide analysis on revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to support operational efficiency.
- Supervise and develop the Finance team, ensuring proper delegation and performance management.
- Liaise with department heads to support financial planning, business strategy, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory audits, and corporate governance standards.
- Provide recommendations to senior management to strengthen financial sustainability and revenue growth.
