- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates, ensuring a diverse and qualified applicant pool.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training sessions.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or conflicts, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
- Promote a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Identify training needs within the organization and develop training programs to address those needs.
- Facilitate training sessions on topics such as diversity and inclusion, performance management, and leadership development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed.
- Stay current with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, including personnel files and HRIS updates.
- Assist with audits and inspections related to HR practices and policies.
- Provide language support to Japanese-speaking employees, including translation of documents and interpretation during meetings or presentations.
- Serve as a cultural liaison between Japanese-speaking employees and other team members, promoting understanding and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in Japanese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Proven experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and training.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Japan and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HRIS and other HR software applications.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
