Financial Controller (Penang)

• Lead and manage the financial accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all accounting tasks.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Manage the financial reporting process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee cash flow management and implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
• Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of tax returns.
• Perform other financial analysis and reporting tasks as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role
• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
