HSSE Advisor (Fabrication yard/Offshore)

- Provide Construction HSSE support with focus on leading the HSSE planning and execution of HSSE activities for Platform &/ SURF Pipeline scopes that covers site preparation (pipeline), fabrication/ construction, installation, commissioning and start-up, including other contractors and subcontractor management.
- Assist, coach and influence contractors (and subcontractors) to implement the Contract HSSE Plans including adherence to Project's Contract requirements and drive site wide improvements.
- Participate and/or undertake (a) HSSE risk assessments of critical activities, (b) Assurance reviews and (c) Incident investigation and management; to identify controls and mitigations in HSSE risk management.
- Monitor for gap closure implementation plans including competence and resourcing requirements.
- Support Company in implementing group/project initiatives for various HSE activities including HSSE & social performance campaigns, milestone celebrations, management visits, etc.
- Maintain effective working relationships with all Company, other Contractor and Subcontractor stakeholders to ensure that all HSSE aspects are covered and HSSE accountability is effectively undertaken.
- Possess NIOSH/NEBOSH/HSSE certification as a minimum, with a diploma or degree relevant to O&G industry. Having Malaysia SHO license would be an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years years oil & gas experience in Construction Safety Supervision / Management for Construction Fabrication and Offshore HUC, Having past experience in sour gas (H2S) facilities and SIMOPS management is essential for the commissioning & start-up phase of the project.
- Good skills in verbal and written communication in English - multilingual (including local dialects) will be an advantage. Candidate to have the ability to influence others without authority in implementing change.
- Demonstrates strong experience in supporting Construction, Loadout, Pre-Commissioning, Transportation & Installation, Pipelaying, Hook-up and Commissioning activities for Offshore Platforms, Subsea Equipment and pipelines.
- Has strong experience in establishing and driving site HSE programs equivalent to IOGP 577 which includes Drop Prevention Programs, Safety Campaigns, Behavioral Based Safety Programs and Performance & Monitoring programs.
