The firm invests across multiple asset classes-primarily private equity and venture capital-and manages both active and legacy investment portfolios. Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the firm's investment strategy and portfolio management across a diverse fund-of-funds platform. The CIO will be responsible for the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and monitoring of investment programmes aligned with the firm's long-term objectives. This role requires a seasoned investor with strong analytical skills, a deep industry network, and proven experience managing multi-manager portfolios, including legacy investments. Key Responsibilities Investment Strategy & Execution Define and execute the firm's investment strategy and programmes in alignment with its mandate. Lead the sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, and selection of external fund managers. Oversee the preparation and presentation of investment proposals to the investment panel. Lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of investment transactions. Post-Investment Management Oversee ongoing management and monitoring of fund investments, including legacy portfolios. Lead risk management efforts and develop divestment strategies as needed. Supervise the preparation of periodic performance, monitoring, and risk reports. Investment Oversight Oversee key investment pillars: Fund investments Fund monitoring and performance evaluation Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Contribute to strategic planning and firm-wide decision-making. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing investment team. Cultivate and maintain relationships with fund managers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders. Stay abreast of market trends, macroeconomic developments, and regulatory changes to inform investment decisions. Qualifications 12+ years of investment experience, with a strong track record in fund investing, preferably within private equity or venture capital. Bachelor&aposs Degree required; Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred. Demonstrated success in manager selection, portfolio construction, and risk management. Deep industry relationships and proven ability to source high-quality investment opportunities.
