- Ensure all operational, financial, and HR objectives are achieved for the General Accounting team.
- Lead and motivate the team to drive performance excellence and quality customer service within the Shared Service Team.
- Oversee and manage the GL Asia’s General Accounting team, ensuring effective workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- Ensure the timely preparation and accuracy of management financial reports to support business operations and decision-making.
- Take ownership of financial accounting outcomes, addressing open items like accruals, provisions, and depreciation rates.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Oversee compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and reporting guidelines, especially in areas like tax, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset management.
- Provide financial analysis of key metrics, such as working capital, financial trends, and balance sheet performance, and partner with the leadership team on budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring appropriate staffing, training, performance coaching, and adherence to group policies and internal controls.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA) is a plus.
- Years of Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in a finance or accounting role, including demonstrated leadership in managing and developing teams, with a proven track record of success.
- Technical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; expert in Microsoft Excel (macros, VLOOKUP, etc.) and SAP.
- Business: Excellent business acumen, analytical ability, customer focus, and stakeholder management.
- Data & Reporting: Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with expertise in Power BI.
- Human Relations: Superior communication, leadership, change influence, and organizational skills.
