Key Responsibilities: 1. Solution Design & Architecture Designend-to-end IT solutions(cloud, hybrid, on-prem) that align with business goals andteam capabilities. Assessexisting skill gapsand recommend upskilling, hiring, or outsourcing strategies. Ensure architectures areexecutable within resource constraints(budget, timeline, talent availability). 2. Resource & Team Optimization Work closely with Delivery Managersto defineteam structures, roles, and responsibilitiesfor solution implementation. Guide staffing decisions-identify when to leverage in-house teams, contractors, or offshore/nearshore partners. Mentor developers, engineers, and junior architectsto bridge skill gaps and improve solution ownership. Collaborate with HR/Talent Acquisitionto define hiring needs for specialized tech stacks (e.g., cloud, DevOps, AI). 3. Stakeholder & Client Collaboration Engage with clients toassess their internal IT teams' maturityand recommend augmentation models (staffing, managed services, etc.). Presentresource-efficient solutions(e.g., low-code platforms, automation) to reduce dependency on scarce talent. Advise leadership onlong-term workforce planning(e.g., upskilling roadmaps for emerging tech like AI/ML). 4. Technical Leadership & Governance Define best practicesto maximize team productivity (e.g., reusable code libraries, standardized DevOps pipelines). Conduct architecture reviewsto ensure teams adhere to design principles without over-engineering. Optimize vendor/partner selectionfor third-party integrations based oncost, support, and skill alignment. 5. Emerging Technologies & Innovation Evaluate tools/platforms thatreduce manual effort(e.g., AI-driven DevOps, automated testing). Recommendtraining programsto prepare teams for upcoming tech shifts (e.g., GenAI, quantum computing). Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years in IT services, with5+ years as a Solution Architect(includingpeople/resource oversight). Proven experience in: Team sizing, skill-mapping, and talent strategyfor IT projects. Hybrid workforce models(in-house, contractors, offshore teams). Mentoring tech teamsand conductingcapability assessments. Technical Expertise: Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, DevOps, and security. Cost-optimization strategies (e.g., serverless, automation). Soft Skills: Strong negotiation(e.g., balancing client demands with team bandwidth). Stakeholder management(aligning executives, engineers, and HR). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in IT staffing or consulting firms(e.g., managing bench strength, ramp-up/ramp-down plans). Certifications in Agile/SAFe, ITIL, or PMP(for cross-functional resource planning). Familiarity with workforce analytics tools(e.g., forecasting demand for niche skills).
