You'll help employees with some of their more basic computer needs, like performing troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems. You'll also oversee and maintain all aspects of a company's computer infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers and security programs. You might also monitor the use of email, create, change passwords and make suggestions for improvements to computer systems, backup data and perform data recovery if needed. Responsibilities Managing user accounts and performing access control. Liaise with internet service provider and relevant vendors or suppliers on setup, implementation, repair, maintenance of IT hardware and software when required. Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage. Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that's always up and running. Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar. Hands-on experience in configuration and maintenance of firewall, router, print server and VPN access is advantageous (specifically AWS & DigitalOcean). Knowledge of installation and maintenance of servers. Ability to provide support and work with colleagues as well as individually. Strong technical knowledge in troubleshooting PC, server and network related matters. Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
