developing meaningful reports with appropriate reconciliations, performing in-depth financial
analysis and overseeing the month-end closing process. The ideal candidate will be comfortable
working cross-functionally, bringing both financial acumen and strong communication skills to
support and influence decision-making across the business.About the Job
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data Science, Compliance) to design efficient and scalable finance workflows and reporting structures.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide transparency into financial performance, trends, and key metrics.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation between various reports and data sources.
- Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Work closely with the Financial Reporting and FP&A teams to validate financial results and support management reporting.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) in accordance with applicable financial regulations and reporting guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring documentation and controls are in place.
- Oversee daily finance operational tasks, including transaction processing and daily settlement of payments.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements across finance-related functions.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in audit, finance, accounting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and/or financial reporting tools (e.g., Power Query, SQL etc.).
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW) or equivalent.
- Experience working in the financial services industry (e.g., banking, fintech, payments).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
