Our client is a Group of Companies with diverse business interests in multiple sectors. The Head of Business Support Services will report direct to the Top Management (Board) and leading various functional teams across the Group. He/She is expected to align operational support functions with business goals, driving efficiency, compliance, and strategic value creation. KEY ROLES : Strategic & Operational Develop and execute integrated support services strategies to align with business objectives across all business entities. Drive operational excellence and synergy across departments and business units. Monitor and enhance KPIs, SLAs, and internal controls to ensure high performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance. Present strategic initiatives, operational performance, and risk assessments to the Board and key stakeholders. Human Resources Oversee HR strategy including workforce planning, performance management, talent acquisition, learning & development, and employee engagement. Foster a performance-driven and values-based culture across the Group. Finance & Accounting Liaise with the Group Finance team to ensure timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Assist in financial planning and resource allocation for strategic initiatives. Provide financial insights and operational risk updates to the Board to support decision-making. Information Technology Guide IT development and digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes, data security, and business continuity planning. Ensure technology systems support business scalability and resilience. Procurement & Operations Establish and enforce centralized procurement policies to drive cost savings, transparency, and efficiency. Oversee vendor and contract management. Marketing & Communications Support Group branding, corporate communications, and marketing strategies in alignment with the Group's identity and market positioning. Collaborate with business heads to drive integrated campaigns and public relations efforts. Governance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and internal risk policies across all entities. Lead or support internal audits, legal reviews, and business continuity measures. Act as a key liaison between operations and the Board, ensuring alignment with corporate governance standards and board directives. REQUIREMENTS Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or equivalent. 10 years of relevant leadership experience, with 5 years at senior management role overseeing multi-disciplinary support functions . Exposure in diverse industries or solid business support management experience is a plus. Strategic thinker, high integrity, resilience, and a collaborative management style. Demonstrated experience working with Boards or C-level executives , with strong communication and presentation skills to engage at the highest levels of the organization. Malaysian only. Permanent role based in Ipoh, Perak.
