Ocean Freight Executive

• Achieve at least Diploma certificate
• Having at least 2 years or above experiences
• Knowledge of freight forwarding operations (import/export)
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, shipping lines, and customs authorities
• Strong planning and scheduling skills

• Follow up with origins and update customers on shipment status at all stages until arrival.
• Coordinate with carriers, forwarding agents, and shipping lines to track vessel arrivals, ensuring cargo is cleared and delivered on time; update system with POD.
• Manage bookings and prepare Bills of Lading (BL) for ocean export shipments.
• Liaise with customs brokers to resolve discrepancies or documentation issues.
• Coordinate with local distributors and vendors to arrange trailers/trucks for smooth delivery of consignments by ocean and road (when required).
• Maintain and update tracking sheets with shipment status.
• Create job entries in the system for all ocean shipments.
• Prepare costing and billing for import and export jobs.
• Provide quotations to agents for ocean import and export inquiries.
• Coordinate with agents and customers on documentation requirements.
• Prepare billing and invoicing of service charges based on contracts and quotations.
• Distribute invoices with supporting attachments to customers and relevant departments.
• Follow up promptly on any discrepancies.
• Collect and process supplier invoices, forwarding them to Finance for payment according to agreed terms.
• Act as an interface between Finance and Customs Clearance Teams/Agents for smooth documentation and transaction flow.
• Assist departmental staff with administrative tasks related to freight issues.
• Ensure adherence to the company's compliance, corporate policies, and procedures.
• Carry out other related duties or projects assigned by the direct supervisor as needed.

• Salary RM3500 - RM4000 (will be decided base on experience and what the candidate can convince us during interviews)
