Job Summary: The Senior Engineer, Technical Safety will oversee technical safety tasks for PTTEP SK brownfields in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, providing expertise in safety engineering, hazard identification, and risk management. The role involves conducting safety studies, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and corporate SSHE procedures. Job Responsibilities: Implement procedures, standards, and guidelines related to technical safety within PTTEP Engineering General Specifications. Coordinate safety review actions and provide guidance on SSHE procedures and standards. Act as Technical Authority for technical safety, assessing deviations against corporate SSHE standards. Participate in safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA), supervising and reviewing engineering work. Utilize software and tools for safety analysis and provide support to projects/assets on technical safety. Investigate accidents/incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive actions. Develop safety engineering deliverables, maintain a process safety database, and produce reports. Identify and monitor Major Accident Events (MAEs), Safety Critical Elements (SCEs), and Performance Standards (PS). Review and advise operations on Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with SSHE standards. Lead Risk Assessments, SIMOPs reviews, and Pre-Activity Safety Reviews. Serve as the primary point of contact for field personnel on operational SSHE implementation. Facilitate HSE training related to Process Safety and Operationalization of HSE Case. Act as Petronas OSRMS Focal Point for audits and assist in procurement of urgent HSE-related items. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields. Minimum 12 years' experience in Process Safety or related disciplines in the oil and gas industry. Comprehensive knowledge of loss prevention processes, safety studies, and analysis techniques. Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and legislation related to SSHE. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
