Role Objective: A dynamic and detail-oriented individual as the Payroll & Billing Team Leader in our APAC Transaction Hub. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of pay and bill tasks while maintaining compliance with legislative requirements and company policies. This position reports directly to the Technical Team Manager (based in Australia) Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead a customer service-oriented team, managing work schedules and activities effectively. Provide overall leadership to the payroll and billing teams, optimizing workforce performance and efficiency. Monitor team performance against Service Level Agreements, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of transactions and work products. Compliance and Knowledge Management: Maintain a high level of knowledge for all jurisdictions within the APAC region, acting as an escalation for payroll-related queries. Oversee the scoping of required system changes and enhancements, actively participating in testing and rollouts. Conduct quality control procedures, including audits and spot checks, to ensure full compliance with regional regulations. Process Improvement and Rollouts: Drive the rollout of new processes and procedures to payroll and administrative consultants, aligning with customer requirements and Regional Hub teams. Collaborate with peers in other teams as well as the Technical Team Manager to identify knowledge gaps within the team and provide support in team training, including technical and system training. Team Expansion and Development: Assist in recruitment and continuous team planning to significantly expand and upskill the payroll and billing teams. Analyze and report on key measures and metrics to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness of the team. What you will get to do: Lead a Customer-Centric Team: Take charge of a customer service-oriented team, overseeing work scheduling and activities to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our clients. Ensure Timely and High-Quality Transactions: Supervise the team to guarantee that all transactions and work products meet high-quality standards and are completed within specified Service Level Agreements. Optimize Work Distribution: Direct the distribution of work among payroll and billing specialists, maintaining a balanced workload, and conduct quality assurance checks on team transactions. Validate Payroll Batches: Thoroughly validate payroll batches to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Escalation Management: Identify situations requiring escalation to subject matter experts in the regional service hub and facilitate necessary actions. Data Transfer and Payroll Calculations: Oversee and manage the transfer time data into regional payroll systems and ensure meticulous payroll calculations and timely payments. Batch Monitoring and Approval: Monitor payroll batches for flagged items, approve batches for submission to Finance, and rectify minor errors identified during system checks. Oversee Pay Slip Generation: Ensure generation and distribution of pay slips to all workers in the Asia Pacific region is completed accurately and within required timeframes. Oversee Invoice Creation and Approval: Ensure timely creation of client invoices for the identified invoicing period, maintaining precision in billing processes. Oversee Invoice Submission: Ensure submission of invoices to each billing organization is facilitated according to agreed timeframes to facilitate timely payment, and a smooth billing cycle. Exceptional Communication Skills: Exhibit high-level verbal and written communication skills, effectively presenting complex subjects to diverse audiences. Stakeholder Interaction: Ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers, peers, and team members to foster collaborative relationships. Pay and Bill Expertise: Possess a basic knowledge of Pay and Bill concepts and terminology, ensuring a solid understanding of the domain.
