Fast ApplyJob SummaryDetails of PositionWe are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated English teachers for face-to-face classes to help our international students achieve their language learning goals.The students you will be teaching are full-time international students from all over the world. They study for varying lengths of time, from 1 week to 12 months, and have a variety of language goals. They follow intensive language programmes that aim to maximise their language production through communicative, task-based learning. ELC teachers adapt and modify materials to suit the needs of their students and ensure a student centred, English only environment.You will be teaching group classes, as well as possibly one-to-one students, as part of our intensive general, academic and business English programme. Classes are held Monday - Friday, typically between 9:30 am and 4 pm (some classes may extend until 5 pm), at our ELC Malaysia Bukit Bintang campus in Kuala Lumpur.You'll report primarily to the academic management team, but will also be part of a supportive teaching team, who are always on hand to provide advice, guidance and support whenever you need it.As part of your role, there may be opportunities to teach specialist courses such as Academic English, IELTS, Young Learners, and Business English.Qualifications- Proficiency in English
- Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in a relevant subject (i.e. Applied Linguistics, TESOL, English, Education, Communication, etc.) plus CELTA (highly desired), TESOL or equivalent qualification in English language teaching
- Minimum of three years of English teaching experience for a full-time position
- Experience creating assessments and tests preferred
- Be dynamic, adaptable, creative, positive and responsibleSalary and BenefitsSalary is based on a scale which considers teaching experience, certification and university degree. Salary range is RM 6,000 - RM 7,500 monthly based on experience and professional/academic qualifications.For non-Malaysians, a work visa/employment pass will be arranged for qualified teachers. Additional benefits include medical insurance and a pension contribution, which can be claimed as part of the salary package or upon completion of the contract. Temporary accommodation can also be provided for the initial two months.
