Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.Join us as Service Engineer for the Motion Drives Business Area where you will execute installation, commissioning and service work for low voltage and medium voltage drives according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB. Reporting to Service Manager and will be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.Your responsibilities

Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reports unsafe practices and incidents
Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work according to customer order and expectations. Understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility
Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations
Working with the customer on site to identify opportunities for improving the customers operations and eliminating pain points
Performing field service tasks, identifies technical problems, and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform
Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative. utilize all relevant tools, reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed
Troubleshooting Equipment/Process failures and requests proactive corrective actions and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
Planning and executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality

Your background

Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Fresh graduates are encourage to apply for those who are keen on hand-on job
Minimum 3 years/above working experience in Drives/Inverter products/system
Able to work independently locally, oversea (onshore and offshore). Possess own transport and able to travel with short notice
Good knowledge in computer skills especially Microsoft Office, SAP etc.
Able to advise and support customer on technical problem solving
Experience in Service within heavy industry specifically with exposure to drives/Inverter product/system
Good communication skills with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach
