- Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Safety and Health Competency Course approved by Department of Safety & Health (DOSH) or Degree in Environmental Science or its equivalent Certified competent Occupational Safety and Health Officer from NIOSH.
- Registered OSH Officer under DOSH is a pre- requisite.
- Possess minimum three (3) years SHE related experiences preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Possess knowledge and hands on experience in ISO 9001:2008 QMS & ISO 14001.
- Good analytical and critical thinking skill, good initiative and drive.
- Independent. Strong communication/presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Possess good human relation and communication skills as the person need to work with internal and external parties.
- Willing to work local & abroad for nature of job required
- You are required to work extra hours as and when needed
- Candidate with the previous experience in the production of batteries will have added advantage
- Good knowledge in related laws and legislation such as Factories and Machinery Act and Regulations; and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other requirements.
- Able to plan, implement and execute all safety and health rules and regulations successfully.
- Take proactive measures to reduce hazards in the premise and prevent possibility of future occurrence of incidents and accidents.
- Continuously provide awareness on safety, health & environment to all personnel including workers, contractors, visitors and others through briefing, tool box meetings, trainings and other communication sessions.
- Investigate any incidents cases including accidents and near miss and to submit a report to the personnel in charge and the relevant authority.
- Conduct safety audit, inspection, and advice on matters related to safety, health & environment.
- Monitor, maintain and enforce the OSH standards through awareness, audits and regular walk through.
- Responsible for the adherence of Safety & Health policy and responsible for the implementation of an effective Occupational Safety & Health Management Plan.
- Planning and implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan and Emergency Drill
- Emergency and review policy, guidelines and procedures on Occupational, Safety and Health (OSH)
- To monitor the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, accident prevention, workplace inspection and other matters related to implementing safety procedures.

- Secondary responsibilities
- Liaise with client, main contractor, government authorities and other interested parties on safety, health and environmental matters.
- Liaise with the fire department regarding emergency procedures, communications and fire safety education programs.
- Investigate into non-compliance, incident and other leading indicators which could affect safety, health and environment performance.
- Coordinate registration and removal hazardous waste.
- Responsible to update any news regulation announced by Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) and Department of Environment (DOE) and other authorities relating to safety, health and environment
