About Us LiquidX Studio is a gaming development studio with the goal to produce an open-world AAA game called Pixelmon. We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. With large backing from our recently raised funding round, we aim to create an entirely unique experience with immersive gameplay and extensive lore that will wow all gamers. The Challenges This position plays a key role in bringing the story to life from the initial creation, to the tone and visual style of the project. Ability to visualise abstract ideas, and storytelling is crucial for you to be successful in this position. What You Can Expect To Work On Collaborating with the project team to brainstorm and interpret the project brief Researching relevant project material including translation styles, characters, and similar projects Presenting concepts, research, and references to the project team Interpreting initial ideas and creating quick sketch drafts for review Creating detailed concept designs in a variety of mediums specific to the brief such as 2D drawings or 3D renders Participating in feedback consultations and noting changes Developing characters, environments, props, and designs based on feedback Keeping up to date with the latest design trends and advancements in technology Requirements High bar for quality of design Pacesetter who motivates other with dedication and optimism Empathetic and collaborative cross functional partner A portfolio of work demonstrating strong artistic and storytelling ability Ability to deliver high-quality artwork against tight deadlines Excellent communication and interpretation abilities Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team Proficient in a variety of digital 2D and 3D software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, and Blender Benefits We Listen.
