- Develop, implement and evaluate marketing plan(s) and strategies for existing and new products.
- Develop marketing, sales and promotional tools and ensure compliance to company guidelines and relevant legislation in order to achieve marketing and sales goals.
- Manage the elements of the product and marketing mix to achieve the sales and profit objectives of the portfolio.
- Conduct field visits with Sales Representatives or Area Sales Managers to collect feedback on current campaigns and market conditions/needs.
- Monitors and analyse competitor products and marketing activities. For key competitors, develop and maintain the competitor profiles. Develop counter strategy in-line with marketing plan and implement accordingly.
- Identify product training needs and develop products and/or activities to address these needs to groups or individuals.
- Develop, maintain and improve training materials for internal product training.
- Conduct product training for B. Braun employees in all aspects of product knowledge, including:-
- Product Application Specialists, Sales Representatives, Area Sales Managers and Therapy Specialists.
- Develop relationships with appropriate customer groups and professional working bodies.
- Identify and develop positive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders through regular interaction and customer visits.
- Support the sales and education team with in-service education for customers when required.
- Support sales activities within key hospitals as per agreed sales and marketing strategies.
- Provide leadership and marketing direction to the sales team in sales activities and projects as agreed and established with Sales Management.
- Evaluate and observe demonstrated use of product knowledge when working with Products Application Specialists, Sales Representatives and Area Sales Managers.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to facilitate the timely exchange of product information. This includes global marketing & sales teams.
- Provide relevant feedback and suggestions for products improvements based on market feedback.
- Co-ordinate any product trials for market evaluation where applicable.
- 5+ years of product management in medical device field
- Sustained high performance
- Healthcare Industry experience and or a scientific, clinical or nursing background are highly preferable
- Able to lead team members through directing, guiding, coaching and mentoring.
- Able to identify gaps and develop team's competency in related areas of responsibility.
- Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
- Strong presentational skills, capable of summarizing and communicating key information
- Excellent project and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to think analytically and strategically when planning.
