senior piping material engineer (epcc - oil & gas)

• Review contract and bid documents, incorporate licensors' and clients' requirements.
• Select relevant standards, codes, and specifications for job specifications.
• Develop Piping Material Specifications and standard piping assemblies.
• Create Insulation and Painting Specifications.
• Provide piping component data (material catalog) to the 3D CAD Administrator/Coordinator.
• Prepare valve and piping specialty part data sheets.
• Compile material requisition packages for piping materials.
• Generate Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) reports based on vendor quotations and technical clarifications.
• Review and comment on vendor data documents and drawings as needed.
• Coordinate technical discussions with clients and vendors regarding piping materials.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work.
• Supervise Material Take-Off (MTO) activities and piping material-related matters within the piping department.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.

• Hold a Bachelor's, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant industry.
• Possess strong knowledge of international codes like ASME 31.3, API, ASTM, BS, JIP 33, etc., and be familiar with calculations outlined in ASME B31.3, such as branch and wall thickness calculations.
• Understand how to create piping material classes, valve, and piping specialty data sheets.
• Demonstrate proficiency in material databases and experience with integrated material control systems like SPMat, along with 3D CAD software like S3D/E3D preferred.
• Work effectively in teams and have excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Be proficient in PC usage with at least MS Word and Excel skills.
• Have a good command of spoken and written English.
