- Participate in the execution, delivery and management of subscription reports and consultancy engagements.
- Conduct research on process technology trends, develop comparative economic models of capital and operating costs of industrial plants, and prepare detailed techno-economic studies and written reports.
- Conduct primary research to understand key industry issues and develop market balances and projections.
- Work closely with clients, prepare and deliver presentations, and assist in building strong client relationships.
- Work across a broad range of chemicals and energy sectors.
- Develop and broaden personal knowledge and capabilities.
- Meet internal quality, time and budget constraints.
- Provide supervision and support to other team members as appropriate and assist in training and development activities.
- Support business development and sales activities across Asia, including a specific focus on Japan
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant industry discipline e.g., chemical engineering, chemistry, energy science or materials science
- Excellent standard of academic qualification.
- 5-10 years' relevant work experience in the energy and chemicals sector including 5 or more years in operations, business management, corporate planning, market research/planning or consulting.
- Hands-on experience of end-use applications and markets
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and process economics
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for interacting with clients in English and Japanese.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft spreadsheets, word processing and presentation applications.
- Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly on new initiatives.
- Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness.
