Overall, the role of a Supply Chain Manager is critical to ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the material procurement, from sourcing materials up to playing a key role in driving profitability, customer satisfaction, and competitive advantage for their organizations.Job Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support internal projects, including procurement, sourcing, inventory management, and logistics.
- Collaborate with senior management to define long-term supply chain goals, priorities, and performance metrics.
- Manage existing supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery of materials and components.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize inventory levels and warehouse processes to minimize lead times, reduce carrying costs, and maintain adequate stock levels to support production schedules.
- Implement inventory optimization techniques & monitor demand forecasts, sales trends, and inventory turnover rates to anticipate demand fluctuations and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
- Coordinate the movement of goods and materials through the supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to minimize lead times, and transportation costs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance departments, to ensure compliance with tax regulations, customs laws, and other relevant regulations governing operations under the LMW.
- Responsibilities related to customs (LMW) clearance may include preparing and submitting customs documentation, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, coordinating with customs authorities, and managing duties, tariffs, and customs fees.
- Liaise with government authorities to oversee LMW to address regulatory issues, obtain necessary permits or licenses, and facilitate smooth operations.
- Utilize forecasting models, statistical analysis, and demand planning tools to predict future demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.
- Continuously monitor demand patterns, market trends, and customer preferences to refine forecasting accuracy and responsiveness.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other technology solutions (cloud systems)
- Leverage data analytics, business intelligence, and automation tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across the supply chain.
- Provide training and support to supply chain team members on the use of technology platforms and systems.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, geopolitical instability, and natural disasters.
- Develop contingency plans, business continuity strategies, and risk mitigation measures to ensure supply chain resilience and business continuity.
- Implement supply chain best practices, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency, visibility, and traceability throughout the supply chain.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Mentor and develop supply chain team members, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth and enhance team performance.
- Monitor Objective Key Results (OKR) and metrics to track supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process optimization.
- Diploma or degree in a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management, procurement, or operations management, preferably in the semiconductor industry or contract manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
- Experience with sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and risk management.
- Demonstrated expertise in supply chain planning, inventory management, supplier management, and logistics optimization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle), and digitalization technologies (e.g. Asana, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) requirements and adherence to compliance is preferred.
