TRANSITION. #OGJS Contract Type: Contractor Duration:29th April.2024 to 30th April.2025 Workinng Location: SBM KL Office Our profile : Piping Designer is responsible for all piping design activities and deliverables. The Piping Designer reports directly to the Piping Design DLE. Besides this role on a project, a Piping Designer is also responsible for the improvement of the Piping design with respect to design quality and efficiency. Main job responsibilities : Adherence to company procedures (Technical, Management & QMS procedures). Able to plan and work independently, reporting progress and schedule to Piping Design DLE. Preparation, Review & Approval of all design documents / drawings as per project deliverables list. Understand detailing of Piping design in 3D & 2D. Develop and maintain Piping isometric Index. Monitoring of job progress, identifying slippage and short comings, and setting solutions and remedies in consultation with Piping Design DLE. Able to familiarize quickly SBM GTS, GES, GEMS and ensure the full compliances. Understand very well Process P&ID and Line List. Able to provide input and excellent communication to piping design team. Job requirements : Diploma in Plant Design Technology as minimum. Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering is acceptable. Min. 5 years relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry working with international companies involved in Concept/FEED/Detail Design & EPC Projects of Piping for Offshore Oil and Gas facilities - Wellhead platforms, Fixed Process Platforms, FPSO topsides modules & Turret Mooring System, TLPs & Semi-submersibles. You must bring a strong decision-making skill within a global matrix organization. 3D software work experience is a must: Aveva E3D & AutoCAD. Should be an effective Team player, capable of working with Multi-National Clients and possess good communication skills.
