- Work proactively with multidisciplinary subsurface asset teams responsible for the appraisal, planning and execution phases of Petrofac-operated fields. Contributing towards qualitative and quantitative, high quality geophysical work; and providing essential information to subsurface peers, management and stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for the planning and technical quality of all geophysical work carried out by subsurface asset teams during pre-development and development phases, and in the support of day-to-day drilling and production operations.
- Work collaboratively with the Functional Heads and Asset Managers to ensure that the appropriate level of technical assessment is applied to subsurface work, and to reveal technical and business-related risks that may impact or affect development planning, operations and/or investment decisions.
- Participate in geophysics-based peer assist and technical assurance reviews. Provide evidence to demonstrate that the appropriate level of work has been performed to a standard that can withstand proper technical challenge and ensure that geophysical aspects of subsurface work meet current industry and government standards.
- BSc. in Earth Science or related discipline with at least 2 years working experience in seismic interpretations. Fresh post-graduate (MSc. /MPhil/PhD) candidates can also be considered.
- Industry experience working in a subsurface multidisciplinary project team with National/International Operator(s) and/or Service Provider(s) on oil and gas fields in the upstream petroleum industry.
- Exposure to quantitative seismic and interpretation software will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge in all aspects of petroleum and reservoir geophysics.
- Exposure to various petroleum systems, depositional environments and reservoir types.
- Knowledge and appreciation of geology, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, well engineering, drilling and completion practices.
- Understanding of hydrocarbon resource estimation.
