The Company Our client is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, installing and assuring the maintenance of lifting & handling systems for oil & gas, nuclear, military and renewable energy industries Their mission is to ensure the success of complex projects for specific industries, constantly striving to answer our clients needs by adapting our services and finding innovative solutions Our client has its headquarters in France and is now looking to further develop its regional office in Malaysia The Electrical Engineer carries out Electrical studies of projects he/she is in charge in accordance with well defined objectives (quality, budget, schedule) He/she provides support to the purchasing and manufacturing departments He/she is in charge of the creation of the electrical technical documentation for the projects He/she is versatile, such, has the opportunity to lead additional missions in accordance with his/her skills (such as wiring) WORK RELATIONSHIP The Electrical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager in Malaysia He/she works closely with the Electrical Engineers in France and the industrial manager in Malaysia He/she is actively contributing to the good relationships with local partners (suppliers and clients) TASKS (Non-exhaustive list) Participation to the kick off meeting (internal and client) Analysis of project electrical specifications Supporting the engineering office in the definition and sizing of the components Carry out Electrical study (schematic / functional diagrams for electrical, electrical BOM, Ex File) Participate in design review and risk analyses (Machine Directive) and other technical meetings Carry out the production of technical documentation Estimate the time required for the studies he/she is in charge Write technical specifications for suppliers Provide technical monitoring of suppliers Provide a support in the project management for electrical questions Report the progress of his missions, alert in advance is there are any identified technical deviations Provide a support to the production team in workshop (electrical wiring, control of the equipment, support during test of the equipment ) Provide methodology for production team (electrical assembly workshop documents, control check sheet) Provide a support to the sales team for the quotation of new projects As part of his missions, he/she may be requested to travel in France and other countries for short periods Responsibilities The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the conformity of the studies he/she is in charge in accordance with defined objectives (budget, schedule, specifications, and regulations) He/she is responsible for the conformity of technical documentation he/she is in charge Qualifications And Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent major with minimum 2 years of related experience Advanced level in mechanics, knowledge of materials used in an industrial environment and assembly processes, material resistance and calculation methods Advanced level in design software (SolidWorks, AutoCad) Good knowledge in technical documentation production Ability to estimate design lead-time and production costs Knowledge in the lifting and handling sector and Oil & Gas industry Fluent in English (verbal and written) ATEX Level 2 and/or IECEX certification is a big advantage Knowledge in automatism is a big advantage Good level in French is a plus Knowledge in IT as a plus Open-minded, able to work in an international environment Methodical, Logic and critical thinking Client oriented is mandatory
