- To ensure new project or engineering change (ECO) is reviewed, designed, tested, documented and handed over properly to Production.
- To identify trouble-shoot quality problem and to carry out process improvement activities including sourcing for new technology.
- Monitor new project time line and ensure activities are carried on time.
- To carry out mould testing on casting machine.
- To ensure proper recording on test result (include casting parameter, problem encountered, action taken, yield, defect breakdown, cycle time & etc.) and review against target.
- Work with machinist on machining feasibility referencing to designed tool concept.
- To formulate best casting parameter and draft out mould design (gate, runner & cooling / thermal).
- Identify and manage process improvement relating to product quality, cost, cycle time and manufacturing lines efficiencies.
- To provide adequate training to respective department supervisor, assistant supervisor, leader and operator.
- Review customer requirement (drawing and standard), conduct part analysis, review potential failure (FMEA) and propose control plan, SPC chart and Work Instruction.
- Investigate complaints, develop and submit responses for customer complaints.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel
- Ability to multi-task in order to meet objectives within timeline
- To assist and to perform engineering duties and mechanisms to pour and regulate the flow of molten metal into moulds to produce castings from ingots.
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Possess good communication skills
- Is self-motivated, resourceful and result-oriented
- Prioritize and manage time effectively
- Candidate must possess at least a SPM, Diploma or above in any field
