The incumbent is tasked with supporting the Account Manager in delivering comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales assistance for the Microbiology sector in hospitals. This position involved collaborating with the team to proved instrumental application training, troubleshoot issues and offer all technical support to the customers and distributors.
  • Collaborate with the regional clinical and application team to gain proficiency in instrument functionality and grasp the necessary processes for assay/test application and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with the segment marketing leader to nurture strategic relationships with value-added distributors and key customers. Assist in daily demand generation activities and provide post-sales application support for Microbiology solutions.
  • Work alongside the segment marketing leader and value-added distributor to launch marketing campaigns and clinical programs aligned with the Life Sciences in-country strategy.
  • Proactively engage with current and potential customers to establish and sustain strategic relationships. Actively promote growth for the life sciences portfolio.
  • Gather and report market information related to customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends.
  • Understand the strategic priorities of assigned accounts and develop value-added programs to enhance customer retention and expand market share.
  • Map key opinion leaders and key accounts for the life sciences portfolio. Identify growth opportunities and pave the way for comprehensive microbiology strategies and access to full automation solutions in hospital settings.
  • Offer valuable insights to develop sales strategies that align with customer needs, emphasising a shift toward holistic solution selling.
  • Analyse sales and industry trends, providing recommendations to meet long-range planning requirements within one's area of responsibility.

  • Study background: Bachelor's Degree preferably either in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Technology, Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or any equivalent qualification.
  • A robust technical aptitude and extensive laboratory or scientific experience, ideally in areas such as phlebotomy, cytology, and microbiology, are preferred. Proficiency in molecular biology would be beneficial.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, and technical support within the Medical Devices industry.
