- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to promote Geopark Tourism and enhance visitor experiences.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, local authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Collaborate with international partners, tourism organizations, and industry experts to leverage resources and expertise for the advancement of the project.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the tourism industry and develop innovative strategies to capitalize on them.
- Direct and supervise a team of professionals and consultants involved in various aspects of the project, including marketing, operations, and community engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance against established goals and objectives, and implement corrective measures as necessary to ensure project success.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events related to Geopark Tourism and serve as a spokesperson for the project.
- Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management and project stakeholders on the progress and achievements of the Geopark Tourism initiative.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all aspects of project implementation and management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in international business management, particularly in the tourism sector, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, both domestically and internationally.
- In-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and best practices in destination management.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and collaborate with government agencies, funding organizations, and community stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, with experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to travel as required.
- Competitive salary within the range of RM5,000 – RM7,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fresh grade is encouraged to apply.
